Ravil Kuzyurov: “Forest Planting Day” campaign has become a good tradition
Today, an environmental campaign “Forest Planting Day” took place in the Republic of Tatarstan. In the city of Kazan, the Center of Rowing Sports has become the central venue. The event was attended by the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Nigmatullin, Chairman of the Committee of the RT State Council on Ecology, Environmental Management, Agricultural and Food Policy Takhir Khadeyev, Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov, employees of the Office of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan and Leading children's television channel “Shayan TV”.
“Forest Planting Day” has become a good tradition. Today, seedlings are planted in all districts of the republic, according to forecasts, the total number of participants will be more than 30 thousand people, - said Ravil Kuzyurov, Head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. - We are sincerely grateful to the residents of Tatarstan for their support, participation and indifference to the issues of forest resources conservation. All trees planted within the framework of the campaign are under our control, we annually conduct an inventory of the created forest plantations”.
More than 400 spruce European saplings were planted on this site. In the city of Kazan, the campaign took place at three more sites - near Dachnoe village of Vysokogorskiy district, near Staroye Shigaleevo village of Pestrechinskiy district and near Voronovka village of Laishevskiy district. The site area in Pestrechinskiy district was 7 hectares, Vysokogorskiy - 6 hectares and Laishevskiy - 4 hectares. For afforestation of these areas, planting material was used in the amount of about 60 thousand. In total in the Republic of Tatarstan 2.8 million pieces of planting material was planted on the area of more than 650 hectares. A large-scale campaign took place in Elabuzhskiy district, which gathered about 2 thousand people. Also among the leading regions are Nurlatskiy, Aznakayevskiy, Alkeyevskiy, Bugulminskiy and others.
Republican environmental campaigns “Forest Planting Day” have been held by the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan since 2011. Their goal is to reproduce and enhance the forest resources of the republic, foster respect for the forest, draw public attention to the problems of its preservation and improve the ecological situation as a whole.
In general, for 8 years in the republic, within the framework of campaigns, forest stands were planted on the area of 5.3 thousand hectares. In this case, planting material was used in the amount of 18.6 million units, and the total number of participants exceeded 378 thousand people.
