Vyacheslav Fedyunin, Deputy Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution Roslesinforg, familiarized himself with Digital Model of Forest Complex of the Republic of Tatarstan project
Today Vyacheslav Fedyunin, Deputy Director of Roslesinforg Federal State Budgetary Institution, arrived in the Republic of Tatarstan on a working visit. During his trip, he visited Innopolis University, where he got acquainted with the project “Digital Model of Forest Complex of the Republic of Tatarstan”. The meeting was attended by the Director of the Kazan branch of Roslesinforg Airat Yusupov, the Leading Consultant of the Department of State Forest Register, Forest Use and Forest Management of the Ministry Ramil Gilmanshin, the Head of the Project Management Department of the Innopolis University Evgeny Danilov and others.
Vyacheslav Fedyunin was told about the work being done to create the Geoinformation System of the Forest Fund of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Information System for Accounting of the Forest Complex of the Republic of Tatarstan (for keeping records of industry documentation and reporting). Let us recall that the integration of these systems and geographic information service for monitoring and control of the state of the forest fund is planned to be completed this year.
Also during the meeting, the participants discussed issues of digitization of the forestry complex of the Russian Federation, opportunities for cooperation and exchange of experience.
“The future is in the “digital forest, - said Vyacheslav Fedyunin. - Even today, with the help of technology, we are monitoring the fire hazard situation, we can detect and stop the facts of illegal logging of forest plantations in time”.
