Tatarstan conducts systematic work to prevent and detect violations of forest legislation

In the Republic of Tatarstan, systematic work is underway to prevent and detect violations of forest legislation. Since the beginning of 2019, state forest inspectors have conducted more than 10.1 thousand patrols in forests and drafted over 230 protocols on administrative offenses. In particular, 31 illegal logging of forest stands was identified. The damage to the forest fund is estimated at 168.1 thousand rubles. Also during this period about 1.3 thousand warnings were issued on inadmissibility of violating fire safety requirements to owners and users of land plots adjacent to the forest fund.

Along with this, the operational and preventive event “Lesovoz” continues, the purpose of which is to prevent and suppress the illegal harvesting, transportation and processing of wood in the republic. As part of the operation, duty was organized at stationary and mobile points of weight control, as well as joint raids of state forest inspectors and traffic police officers of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Tatarstan are conducted.
