Environmental Campaign “Clean Forests of Tatarstan” was held in the republic
On May 25, 2019, the Republican Environmental Campaign “Clean Forests of Tatarstan” will be held in Kazan. It will be held at two sites - opposite the Republican Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Tatarstan (Orenburgskiy trakt, 138) and near the Kazan Optical-Mechanical Plant (Lipatova str, 37) (you can see the gathering places of participants in the attached photo report to this news). The campaign starts at 11:00 am. Gloves and bags will be handed over at the site.
Republican Environmental Campaign “Clean Forests of Tatarstan” has been held by the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan since 2010. Within its framework, the territory of the forest fund is cleared of solid municipal waste, deadwood and felled trees. The campaign takes place in spring and autumn periods in all municipal districts of the republic, and its regular participants are employees of ministries, departments, institutions, organizations, enterprises, forest tenants, representatives of gardening associations, cooperatives, environmental associations, students of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions, volunteers.
This year the spring stage of the campaign started on April 22 and will last until June 22 of this year. According to the results for today, about 500 cubic meters of household waste have already been removed from the forest.
For reference. In 2018, the Republican Environmental Campaign “Clean Forests of Tatarstan” was held from April 25 to June 25 and from September 15 to November 15. More than 7 thousand people joined it, and solid municipal waste, deadwood and fallen trees in the amount of 3,740 cubic meters were collected and removed from the forest fund.
