Tatarstan residents took part in the final of the XVI All-Russian Junior Forest Contest “Podrost”

At the end of last week, the results of XVI All-Russian Junior Forest Contest “Podrost”, held on the basis of the park-hotel “Sofrino” in Pushkin district, Moscow Region, were summed up.

Let us recall that the All-Russian Junior Forest Contest “Podrost” is held annually in three stages - regional, federal correspondence and full-time. This year, 301 research works from 68 constituent entities of the Russian Federation entered the federal correspondence stage. After the evaluation of the expert jury, 92 people from 47 regions of the country passed to the final, including from the Republic of Tatarstan - a student of the 23rd Landscape Gardening Group of Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College, Nikita Stupitsky, a pupil of the 11th grade of the Lyceum No. 121 named after the Hero of the Soviet Union S.A. Akhtyamov of Kazan, Aleksandr Zhernenkov and a pupil of 10th grade of Gymnasium No. 90 in Kazan, Gulsem Gainullina.

According to the results of the contest, Aleksandr Zhernenkov was awarded the 3rd place in the nomination “Forest Studies and Forestry” for his research work “Assessment of CO2 emissions in ecosystems of the Raifskiy forest of the Volga-Kama State Natural Biosphere Reserve”. Gulsem Gainullina took the 4th place in nomination “Ecology of Forest Plants” (work – “The structure and diversity of the spruce population of “Lebyazhye” forest park, Kazan”).
