Republican seminar on forest management took place in Buinskiy municipal district
Today a republican seminar on forest management was held in Buinskiy municipal district. The event was attended by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ravil Kuzyurov, the Head of the municipal district, Marat Zyabbarov, Deputy Ministers Ilgizar Zaripov, Rais Gumerov, employees of the Ministry, head-foresters of forest districts and directors of forestry enterprises of the republic.
First, the seminar participants familiarized themselves with the results of selective sanitary felling in 2018 in the area of forest crops affected by the windbreak and windfall in the 47th quarter of the Buinskiy district forestry of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Buinskiy Forest District”. The Head-Forester Ilnar Gataullin said that totally the work was performed on the area of 3.2 hectares.
The second point of the route was the forest nursery of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Buinskiy Forestry Enterprise”. Its total area is 14 hectares. There, experts were able to see the sprouts of this year, spruce saplings and red bird cherry of 2015-2016.
Then the participants of the seminar examined the forest area in the 29th quarter of the Buinskiy district forestry, where the care of young stands, forest stands in the 66th quarter, which were damaged by wild ungulates, took place, and then they visited Runginskaya Secondary School, where they learned in detail about activities of school forestry “Runga”.
After inspecting the administrative building of the SPI of RT “Buinskiy Forest District”, a plenary session was held in the premises of the Center for Cultural Development.
The Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ilgizar Zaripov and Rais Gumerov made reports at the meeting.
Ilgizar Zaripov, in his speech, announced the results of the work of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and its subordinate institutions for 5 months of 2019. He said that as part of the regional project “Forests Conservation” of the national project “Ecology”, to date, reforestation and afforestation have been carried out on the area of 2,315 hectares, seeds in forest nurseries have been planted on the area of 22.8 hectares (104% of the plan).
At the same time, during the period, sanitary and recreational activities were carried out on the area of 466.8 hectares, 2,662.2 km of new fire-fighting mineralized belts were created and maintenance of the existing barriers with a total length of 5,432.9 km was performed. In total, about 12.4 thousand patrols were carried out in forests, during which 40 facts of illegal logging of forest stands were revealed.
Rais Gumerov focused on indicators of wood supply to enterprises of the republic, revenues from the provision of paid services, wages, etc.
In particular, he said that for the implementation of the regional project “Forests Conservation in the Republic of Tatarstan” until 2024, financing was provided in the amount of 527.7 million rubles. For 2019, the federal budget allocated funds in the amount of 86.8 million rubles, including 44.4 million rubles for equipping the specialized agencies with forest fire equipment and machinery and 4.5 million rubles for specialized forestry equipment.
In conclusion, Rais Gumerov informed about the holding of the regional stage of the “Logger-2019” championship among loggers with gas-powered saws, harvester drivers and forwarders from July 5 to July 6 this year in Mamadysh town.
The Head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov summed up the meeting. The Minister urged the directors of forestry enterprises to pay special attention to harvesting of seeds of forest plants and preservation of their qualities, and the head-foresters of forest districts - to conduct state forest supervision and work on selection of sites for laying water-protecting forest plantations along the banks of the Volga and Kama rivers. “Of course, the results of our work are not immediately visible, it is impossible to grow a forest in a year. But everything you do will be very valuable after 10-15 years. We are creating the future, the Minister said, addressing those present. - You are representatives of the Ministry on the sites, but we are always in touch and ready to help. Only by working together we can achieve results”.
