Today, a videoconference meeting on conducting forest pathology surveys and appointment of forest protection measures in 2019 was held in the Department of Forestry in the Volga Federal District. It was led by the Deputy Head of the Department, Sergei Kovalev.
The event was attended by representatives of the forest authorities of the Volga Federal District, including from the Republic of Tatarstan - First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov, Head of the Forest Fund Security and Protection Sector of the Ministry Alsu Mustafina and Deputy Head of the Federal Budgetary Institution “Roslesozashchita” Branch - Center for Forest Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan Venera Efremenkova.
Opening the meeting, Sergei Kovalev recalled that on June 7, 2019 the Federal Law No. 135-FZ dated 06.06.2019 “On Amending the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation” entered into force, imposing an administrative fine in the amount of 5 to 20 thousand rubles for officials for concealing information about the sanitary and forest pathological status of forests or inclusion of inaccurate information in the act of forest pathology survey. A similar amount of the penalty is provided in the case of non-submission within the statutory period of the approved Forest Pathology Surveys Act to the authorized federal executive body.
In case of committing these offenses in respect of protective forests, especially protective areas of forests, as well as forests located in forest-green park belts, the amount of the fine will be from 20 to 40 thousand rubles.
Sergei Kovalev said that in June the department received more than 5 thousand Forest Pathology Surveys Acts from the regions. Currently, the institution is reviewing these documents.
Further, during the meeting, issues of improving the quality of registration of forest pathology survey and optimization of timing of acts preparation were discussed.
