The participants of the profile session “Lesnoi podrost” in Orlenok learn the basics of forestry professions
“Lesnoi podrost” profile session for members of the school forest districts is held on the basis of the All-Russian Children's Center “Orlenok” in the Krasnodar Territory. Young foresters participate in topical workshops, quests, business games for the forests protection, preservation and reproduction.
From the beginning of the session, the children visited the All-Russian Children's Fire-Technical Exhibition, the Children's Botanical Garden, the Sports Museum in the Olympic Village, the Astronomical Observatory, passed through a school of tourist training and made a series of hikes and ascents.
In addition, experts from the Apsheron Forestry College invited the session participants to the eco-laboratories “Forest Doctor”, “Through the Forest Path”, “Forest Mathematics”, “Coniferous Forest” and “Floristic” eco-studio. Schoolchildren have learned a lot about forest diseases, learned to determine the age of trees, the taxation characteristics of Orlenok plantations. Also, the guys got the skills of describing plants, determining the soil moisture, the slope of the terrain, familiarized themselves with various types of floristic and coloring.
This year, more than 140 people from 59 constituent entities of the Russian Federation took part in the session. 3 pupils of school forest districts from the Republic of Tatarstan - Ilyas Galimov (association “Heirs of Nature” of Leskhoz Secondary School of Arskiy district), Svetlana Bogomolova (“Ecos” of Lubyanka Secondary School of Kukmorskiy district) and Ilzat Latipov (“Nurgali onyklry” of Leskhoz Secondary School of Sabinskiy district) participate.
“Our activities are very interesting and informative, we have a tight schedule, but we like it”, Svetlana Bogomolova, a participant of Ecos school forestry, shared her impressions. - I am in the second squad, the geography of our team is vast - from Kaliningrad to Irkutsk. Now I have friends all over the country”.
The organizers of the profile session for members of the school forest districts “Lesnoi podrost” are the Federal Forestry Agency and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Russian Federation. The participants of the session were selected from among the winners and prize-winners of the regional stages of the All-Russian Junior Forest Competition “Podrost”, the All-Russian correspondence review competition “The Best School Forestry”, republican and regional meetings of school forest districts.
