“Lesovoz” operation continues in Tatarstan
Within the framework of implementation of federal law No. 415-FZ of December 28, 2013, the preventive event “Lesovoz” continues in the Republic of Tatarstan. The purpose of the operation is to prevent and suppress the illegal harvesting, transportation and processing of wood in the republic.
So, this week, the state forest inspectors of Tatarstan together with the employees of State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs carried out 17 joint raids, checked 24 vehicles loaded with timber, no violations were identified. In general, from the beginning of the year, 3 administrative cases were filed for transportation of wood without an accompanying document in accordance with the procedure established by forest legislation.
We remind that transportation of wood without an accompanying document issued in accordance with the forest legislation stipulates the imposition of an administrative fine on officials in the amount of 30 to 50 thousand rubles with confiscation of wood and (or) vehicles which are an instrument of an administrative offense, or without it; for legal entities - from 500 to 700 thousand rubles with confiscation of wood and (or) vehicles, which are an instrument of an administrative offense, or without it.
