Issues of implementation of “Ecology” national project were discussed in Kazan

Today, a strategic session on “National project “Ecology”: practical issues at the first stage of implementation” was held in Kazan. The discussion was attended by the Chairman of the All-Russian Public Organization for Conservation and Protection of Natural Resources of the Russian Ecological Society, Rashid Ismailov, Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the RT State Council on Ecology, Nature Management, Agro-industrial and Food Policy Rinat Gaizatullin, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksandr Shadrikov, representatives of others ministries and departments of the republic, including from the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan - Timur Galiyev, Head of the Department of Forest Reproduction and Forest Planting.

The meeting addressed the implementation of federal projects “Forests Conservation”, “Improvement of the Volga” and “Clean Country” in the Republic of Tatarstan, the role of an expert regional network within the framework of the national project “Ecology”, legal barriers and potential for environmental reform.

At the event, the Deputy Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Egor Tarnavsky told in detail about the implementation of the national project in Tatarstan. He said that at present, the passports of four regional projects have been approved in the republic. From 2019 to 2021, financing in the amount of 5.8 billion rubles will be allocated for their implementation, incl. from the federal budget - 4.8 billion rubles.
