Employees of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Kzyl-Yulduzskiy Forestry Enterprise” supervise the occurrence and spread of forest pests
Employees of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Kzyl-Yulduzskiy Forestry Enterprise” supervise the occurrence and spread of forest pests. So, experts have installed 20 pheromone traps for catching black sawyer beetle, gypsy moth and Siberian silkworm.
“Such traps are designed to lure insects with certain odors. We installed them on the territory of the Abdinskiy and Aryshskiy forestry districts, - said the Director of the forestry enterprise Albert Zakirov. - In 2 weeks we will be able to find out if we have forest pests and their approximate numbers”.
It is worth noting that in the Republic of Tatarstan, forest pathological surveys of forest plantations are regularly carried out in order to timely identify possible foci of pests and forest diseases. This task is assigned to the branch of the Roslesozashchita - Center for Forest Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan and forestry enterprises of the republic.
