The Third Meeting of School Forest Districts of the Republic of Tatarstan is opened in Kukmorskiy municipal district
Today, the Third Meeting of School Forest Districts of the Republic of Tatarstan was opened in the premises of Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College in Lubyany village of Kukmorskiy municipal district. The event gathered more than 120 people from 31 school forest districts of the republic. Also, pupils of the “Lesnoi dozor” school forest district from Serovskiy district of the Sverdlovsk Region also joined the meeting.
Today, schoolchildren took part in the conference “The Future of the Forests of Tatarstan is in our hands” and the ecological quest “Forest Pathfinders”. During the conference, students presented their research work in the sections “Forest and Man” (projects in the field of ecology, biology, forestry) and “Practical environmental activity” (projects in the field of improving the ecological situation in forestry, resource saving, life safety, etc.). Within the framework of the eco-quest “Forest Pathfinders”, pupils of school forest districts told about their associations, demonstrated their skills in orienteering in the terrain, and completed a number of practical tasks.
“Our school forestry was organized last year. I love nature very much, so without hesitation I became a member of this association, said Ulyana Komissarova, a pupil of the Runga school forestry of the Runginskaya Secondary School of Buinskiy district. - We plant trees, we help in clearing the territory of the forest fund, we conduct educational work. I participate in such a meeting for the first time. I like everything, it is very exciting, an excellent organization”.
Tomorrow, on July 30, the official opening ceremony of the meeting will take place. The participants will be greeted by Aleksandr Ornatsky, Head of the Forestry Department for the Volga Federal District, Ravil Kuzyurov, Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Heads of municipal districts Sergey Dimitriev, Rais Minnikhanov, and others. After the opening, the main contest “Young Foresters” will be held.
