The Head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ravil Kuzyurov: “Our task is not only to educate future foresters, but also to work on formation of ecological culture”
Today, the official opening ceremony of the 3rd Meeting of School Forest Districts of the Republic of Tatarstan took place in the premises of the Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College in Lubyany village of Kukmorskiy municipal district. Aleksandr Ornatsky, Head of the Forestry Department for the Volga Federal District, Ravil Kuzyurov, Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Stanislav Andreyev, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, heads of municipal districts Sergey Dimitriyev and Rais Minnikhanov welcomed the participants of the competition.
Before the opening ceremony, the Head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ravil Kuzyurov familiarized himself with the exhibition of achievements of the school forest districts of the Republic of Tatarstan.
“It is gratifying that for the second year in a row such a large-scale event is being held here - on the basis of Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College. This college is our pride, in 2021 it will celebrate its 100 anniversary, said Sergey Dimitriyev, Head of the Kukmorskiy municipal district, in his welcoming speech. - Let the meeting be a bright and unforgettable event and give you a charge of positive emotions and good mood”.
The Head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, Ravil Kuzyurov, noted that the meeting was held with the support of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. “We set ourselves the task not only to educate future foresters, but also to conduct consistent work on formation of an ecological culture, the Minister stressed. - We want the younger generation to be environmentally responsible, so that children understand how important nature and the forest are in society. I wish all the participants good health, happiness, new achievements and discoveries”.
Aleksandr Ornatsky, Head of the Department of Forestry for the Volga Federal District, noted that not all sectors of the economy are so attentive to education of the future generation. “I am glad that representatives from almost every district of the Republic of Tatarstan are present here. “You are our future foresters, those who will contribute to the development of forestry, he said. - It is worth noting that the forest industry specialists of Tatarstan occupy leading positions in a number of areas in the district. I am sure that by your efforts the rating of the republic will increase every year”.
The Head of the Sabinskiy municipal district, Rais Minnikhanov, stressed the importance of holding such meetings. “We must pay great attention to education of the younger generation. I wish you all success in competitions and studies, new impressions and interesting meetings”, he said.
“I am very glad to see you during the summer holidays engaged in such a useful work,” said Stanislav Andreyev, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, addressing the participants of the meeting. “The guys who sincerely love nature and the forest go to school forestry. You already understand that it is important not only to plant a tree, but also to grow it. The future of our native republic is in your hands”.
The honor of raising the flag of the competition fell to the winners of the 2nd Meeting of the School Forest Districts of the Republic of Tatarstan - pupils of the school forestry “Nurgali onyklary” of Leskhoz Secondary Educational School of Sabinskiy municipal district.
After opening of the meeting, the main contest “Young Foresters” was held. Pupils of school forest districts were tested and performed a number of practical tasks in the areas of “Botany and Dendrology”, “Taxation”, “Protection and conservation of forests’, “Forest restoration and afforestation”, “Geodesy” and “Fire Extinguishing”. Students demonstrated their knowledge of the forest and its inhabitants, teamwork, orientation in the forest, overcoming obstacles, taxation and extinguishing forest fires.
Tomorrow, on July 31, the results will be summed up and the winners of the 3rd Meeting of School Forest Districts of the Republic of Tatarstan will be awarded.
