Today a meeting with graduate school students was held at the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. The First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the RT, Ilgizar Zaripov, the Director of Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College, Rim Fakhraziyev, employees of the Ministry, head-foresters of forest districts and directors of forestry enterprises of the republic took part in it.

Opening the meeting, Ilgizar Zaripov thanked school graduates and their parents for their interest in the forest industry. “Unfortunately, we have a shortage of personnel, so we are always happy for young specialists”, he said.

Director of the college Rim Fakhraziyev told in details about the college. So, at present, the educational institution is training specialists in the areas of “Forestry and Forest Park Economy”, “Landscape Gardening and Landscape Construction” and “Economics and Accounting”. “Our students also receive additional professional education - they master the professions of a forest feller, a tractor driver, a manufacturer of art products from vines, huntsmen, landscape designers and wood carvers”, he added.

According to him, the college has all conditions for successful student learning: there are specialized classrooms and laboratories, a library, a sports hall, computer classes, a forest plot for research and educational activities, a nursery, a dendrological garden and a training and production site equipped wood processing line. Hostel is provided for nonresident students. “Out-of-school time, we hold various cultural events and sports, said Rim Fakhraziyev. - Our students actively participate in various district and republican contests, practice in leading enterprises of the republic and other regions of the country”.

After Ilgizar Zaripov acquainted those present with the forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and the activities of the Ministry and its subordinate institutions. In particular, he said that today the total forest area of ​​the republic is about 1.3 million hectares, and more than 2.6 thousand people work in the industry.

“Today, the forestry of Tatarstan is a dynamically developing industry. We are actively working on introducing innovations, updating the material and technical base of subordinate institutions and improving the technology for performing forest cultural and forestry operations. Along with this, we pay great attention to improving the working conditions of industry workers. Starting next year, for example, a program to support young professionals will be launched”, concluded Ilgizar Zaripov.
