Sanitary and recreational activities in the forests were performed on the area of 934 ha in Tatarstan

Work to improve the sanitary condition of forest stands is continuing in the Republic of Tatarstan. According to specialists of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, as of August 9 of this year sanitary and recreational measures were carried out on the area of ​​934 hectares. High rates of work are demonstrated by employees of the Bugulminskiy, Laishevskiy, Aznakayevskiy and Mamadyshskiy foresty enterprises of the republic.

In total, this year in Tatarstan sanitary and recreational activities will be carried out on the area of ​​more than 6.4 thousand hectares, including illiquid wood harvesting - on the area of ​​3.1 thousand ha.

Let us recall that sanitary measures are part of a set of forest protection measures. They are carried out in order to preserve the biological stability of the stands, prevent the widespread development of pathological processes in the forest, and reduce damage from pests and diseases.
