Employees of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Bugulminskiy Forestry Enterprise” will carry out work to supplement forest crops on the area of 115 hectares in the autumn. “Part of the work will be done with planting material grown in 4 greenhouses”, said Sagid Abdullin, Director of the forestry enterprise. - In this way we grow birch seedlings for 1 season. This year we sowed seeds at the beginning of May, after we introduced mineral fertilizers and carried out a set of measures to protect plants from diseases and weeds. The other day, the polyethylene was removed from the greenhouses in order to harden and lumber the seedlings”.
It is planned to transplant seedlings of birch in mid-September of this year. “We are already completing the procurement of birch seeds for sowing next year”, added Sagid Abdullin. “We plan to send them to the Forest Protection Center in the near future to check and determine the quality class”.
Also, planting material in greenhouses is grown by employees of Arskiy, Alkeyevskiy, Isleitarskiy, Kamskiy, Mamadyshskiy and Kzyl-Yulduzskiy forestry enterprises.
