In the Republic of Tatarstan, work is continuing to care for young stands. According to specialists from the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, as of August 19 of this year, the works were carried out on the area of ​​1.8 thousand hectares.

In total this year improvement cutting of young stands will be performed on the area of ​​3 thousand hectares.

For reference. Care for young stands includes forestry activities such as lightening and cleaning. Lightening - thinning in a young plantation, aimed at improving its breed and quality composition and growth conditions of the main breed. It is carried out up to 5-10 years of age, depending on the forest-forming species, the productivity of plantings and the forest zone.

Clearing - thinning in a young forest stand, aimed at regulating the density of the forest stand and improving the growth conditions of the main tree species, as well as continuing the formation of composition, carried out after a period of clarification to the age of 20 years of the forest stand.
