Autumn forest season is opened in Tatarstan
The autumn forest season is open in the Republic of Tatarstan. Within its framework, forestry specialists will have to work on supplementing forest crops on the area of 2 thousand hectares, prepare soil for the next year’s crops on the area of 2 thousand hectares, prepare more than 10 thousand kg of seeds of the main forest-forming species and conduct an inventory of planting material in forest nurseries.
Currently, the republic is completing work on agrotechnical care of forest crops. According to specialists of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan, as of September 3, this year such activities were carried out on the area of 13 thousand hectares. Workers of the Aznakayevskiy, Cheremshanskiy and Training and Experimental Sabinskiy forestry enterprises completed the planned amount of work.
Also seeds harvesting of forest plants has started. To date, a total of 898 kg of seeds have been procured, 355 kg of which are seeds of conifers. Among the leaders in seed procurement are Mamadyshskiy, Aznakayevskiy and the Training and Experimental Sabinskiy forestry enterprises.
