Registration for conference on forest inventory in Kazan is open

On October 9-12, 2019 Kazan will host the annual scientific and practical conference “Forest inventory and forest management for forest management and business”. The event is held at the initiative of the Federal Forestry Agency with support of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan.

The purpose of the event is to discuss innovative approaches to improving sustainable forest management, organizing intensive and sustainable forest management and introducing a practice-oriented approach in training of forestry specialists.

The business program includes a plenary meeting and discussion platforms where experts will consider issues of compensatory restoration of forests, public-private partnerships, remote monitoring in the forest management system, as well as the transition to unified software and technology for forest management.

Conference speakers will be deputies of the State Duma, representatives of the Federal Forestry Agency, federal and territorial executive authorities, the expert community, non-profit organizations and businesses. Among them are Acting Head of the Federal Forestry Agency Mikhail Klinov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Natural Resources, Property and Land Relations Nikolai Nikolaev, Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuziurov, Director General of the SRO “Cadastral Engineers” Marina Petrushina, Director of the Federal State Budget Institution Roslesinforg Igor Murayev and others.
