The autumn stage of environmental campaign “Clean Forests of Tatarstan” has started in the republic
Today the autumn stage of the environmental campaign “Clean Forests of Tatarstan” has started in the republic. The campaign will run until November 16. Within its framework, it is planned to clean the territory of forest fund from municipal solid waste, dead wood, repair arbors, nameplates and information boards in the forest, as well as conduct classes and environmental competitions for students of educational institutions.
The Republican environmental campaign “Clean Forests of Tatarstan” has been carried out by the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan since 2010. Its main goal is to create a favorable sanitary and environmental situation in the forests. The campaign takes place in all municipal districts of the republic. Its regular participants are employees of ministries, departments, institutions, organizations, enterprises, tenants of forest plots, representatives of horticultural partnerships, cooperatives, environmental associations, students of higher and secondary special educational institutions, volunteers.
More than 9.7 thousand people joined the spring phase of the campaign (from April 22 to June 22) this year. They collected and exported household waste and felled trees in the amount of 3.3 thousand cubic meters from the forest fund.
