A meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council was held at the branch of FBU VNIILM East European Forest Experimental Station
Today, a meeting of the Scientific and Technical Council was held at the VNIILM branch of the VNIILM East European FES, at which reports on the research work carried out by employees for the current year were reviewed. The event was attended by the Director of the Branch, Ainur Puryaev, the Head of the Department of Forest Reproduction and Afforestation of the Ministry Timur Galiyev, specialists of the institution.
The meeting was opened by the Branch Director Ainur Puryaev. He noted that this year research was carried out on 7 topics identified by VNIILM. “For many of them, only preliminary results will be presented, since studying topics requires several years”, Ainur Puryaev added.
He spoke about the results of the research work “Development of innovative approaches to improve forest management technologies in the oak forests of the Middle Volga Region” and “Development of proposals to improve the efficiency of forest care, using modern technologies and machines based on the assessment of their profitability, taking into account the intensity, quality of wood and market conjuncture”.
Also at the event, reports were made by the Deputy Director of the Branch of Science Nais Garipov (topic “Development of modern methods of forest taxation based on radar satellite imagery”), the Head of the Forestry Group Fedor Ilyin (“Development of targeted systems of forestry measures for use, protection, conservation, reproduction protective forests”), Senior Researcher Aleksandr Prokopyev (“Development of forest ecological technologies for rehabilitation of forests disturbed by anthropogenic impact”), etc.
At the end of the meeting, a discussion and exchange of views on results of the research work carried out in the current year took place. The results of the publication activity of the branch employees were also considered.
