Within the framework of the environmental campaign “Clean Forests of Tatarstan”, more than 50 cubic meters of solid municipal waste and deadwood were collected and exported from the republic’s forest fund. Let us recall that the campaign started on September 16 this year and takes place in all municipal districts. It involves employees of institutions, organizations, enterprises, tenants of forest plots, representatives of horticultural partnerships, cooperatives, environmental associations, students of higher and secondary special educational institutions, volunteers.
Along with this, over this period, specialists from the forest industry have improved 3 springs, repaired 35 nameplates, information boards and gazebos in the forest, and conducted lessons in educational institutions.
“We are conducting this campaign not only in order to create a favorable sanitary and environmental situation in the forests, but also to draw public attention to the problems of its conservation, to cultivate a careful attitude to our natural wealth”, said Alsu Mustafina, Head of the Forest Conservation and Protection Department of the Ministry. - Practical environmental activities contribute to formation of environmental culture, so we try to attract pupils from school forest districts. The campaign will continue until November 16”.
