Control over prevention and suppression of illegal logging, transportation and processing of wood will be strengthened in Tatarstan
The Republic of Tatarstan will strengthen control over the prevention and suppression of illegal logging, transportation and processing of wood. The events will be held from October 1 to October 31, 2019 as part of the “Lesovoz” operational and preventive event.
Within a month, mobile patrol teams will check the legality of transporting timber. The raids will be held with participation of state forest inspectors of the republic and employees of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Also, joint duty will be organized at the stationary posts of the traffic police.
We remind you that transporting wood without an accompanying document drawn up in the manner prescribed by forest legislation entails the imposition of an administrative fine on officials in the amount of 30 to 50 thousand rubles with confiscation of wood and (or) vehicles that are an instrument of an administrative offense, or without it; for legal entities - from 500 to 700 thousand rubles with confiscation of wood and (or) vehicles, which are an instrument of an administrative offense, or without it.
