A new school forest district “Elochka” was created in Cheremshanskiy municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan

A new school forest district “Elochka” was created in Cheremshanskiy municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan.  The association was organized on the basis of Sheshminskaya general educational school in Sheshminskaya krepost village. The composition of the school forestry included 9 people, and its leader was a biology teacher Razilya Ziganshina.

“When I found out that school forestry was being created in our school, I immediately decided that I would be its participant”, said Maksim Ryashin, a 9th grade pupil. - I always liked the forest, and in general, such a subject as biology. I am sure it will be interesting, and I can get a lot of new knowledge”.

Currently, there are 67 school forest districts in the Republic of Tatarstan, where there are more than 1,400 people. The average age of pupils is 14 years. The activity of school forest districts is regulated by order of the Federal Forestry Agency dated April 16, 2012 No. 145 “On approval of the Program for development of school forest district movements”, “Plan of activities for the development of school forest districts for the period 2018 - 2027”, developed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Ministry Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Federal Forestry Agency and the “Plan of development and activities of school forest districts of the Republic of Tatarstan for the 2019-2020 academic year”, approved by the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. Each school forest district has a supervisor-teacher and curator from a subordinate institution of the Ministry, which conduct theoretical and practical classes for schoolchildren.
