The Head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov took part in planting of forest crops within the framework of the All-Russian campaign “Save the Forest”

Today, planting of forest crops on the territory of Istrinskiy forest district in the Moscow region as part of the All-Russian campaign “Save the Forest” and a field seminar on forest reproduction and afforestation took place. The events were attended by the heads of regional forestry authorities, including from Tatarstan - Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov, representatives of industry institutions.

In total, about 2 thousand seedlings of common pine with a closed root system and small-leaved linden seedlings were planted by participants of the campaign. During the field seminar, the participants got acquainted with technological innovations that are used when planting seedlings with closed root system. It should be noted that in accordance with the federal project “Forests Conservation” of the national project “Ecology”, the share of such seedlings should be increased by 3 times - up to 200 million units per year by 2024.

The All-Russian campaign “Save the Forest” was launched on September 14, 2019 and is being held for the first time as part of the national project “Ecology” of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation. You can join it until October 31, 2019. To date, more than 10 million seedlings have already been planted by volunteers. In total, within the framework of the campaign, it is planned to expand Russia's green belt by 30 million trees.

Tomorrow, on October 4, the Head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov will take part in the solemn meeting devoted to the celebration of the Day of Forest Workers and the final stage of the National Forest Forum in Moscow.
