To achieve this goal, two main indicators were established: “the ratio of reforestation and afforestation area to the area of felled and lost forest stands” and “damage from forest fires”.
As part of the regional project, forest restoration and afforestation works were performed on the area of 2,471 ha this year in Tatarstan. Including artificial reforestation was carried out on the area of 1,729 hectares, combined reforestation - 34 hectares, promotion of natural reforestation - 542 hectares and afforestation - 165.7 hectares.

To successfully carry out work next year, more than 30.8 million pieces of standard planting material were grown in the republic. Also, foresters plan to harvest more than 11.4 thousand kg of seeds of the main forest-forming species.
