Specialists of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Bugulminskiy Forestry Enterprise” completed a series of autumn forestry work. So, work on supplement of forest crops was carried out on the area of 214 hectares, soil preparation for crops of 2020 - on the area of 80 hectares. “As part of measures to supplement forest crops, we planted more than 50 thousand pieces of seedlings of birch and pine”, said Sagid Abdullin, Director of the SBI of RT “Bugulminskiy Forestry Enterprise”. “The work was carried out manually using the Kolesov sword”.
“Along with this, we sowed hardwood seeds in a basic forest nursery, the Director of the forestry enterprise added. - Seeds do not require stratification in autumn sowing, as they undergo natural preparation in the soil. Moreover, the seeds of most breeds do not require special processing, therefore time and labor are saved”.
Currently, the forestry enterprise is also completing the harvesting of hardwood seeds. As of October 24 this year 108 kg of seeds were harvested here, including 89.5 kg of birch, 17 kg of ash and 1.5 kg of Tatar maple.
