Seed harvesting continues in State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Zainskiy Forestry Enterprise”
Seed harvesting of the main forest-forming species continues in the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Zainskiy Forestry Enterprise”. According to experts of the institution, as of October 28 this year, 238.1 kg of seeds were harvested, including oak - 122.8 kg, birch - 45.3 kg. Also, employees of the forestry enterprise collect seeds of tree-shrubbery and ornamental species, in particular, ash, dogrose, hawthorn, etc.
Along with this, work is underway to prepare the soil for forest crops of 2020. To date, such events have been carried out on the area of 153.5 ha.
On the whole, foresters this year plan to harvest more than 11.4 thousand kg of seeds and prepare soil for forest crops of next year on the area of 2 thousand hectares in the Republic of Tatarstan.
