School forest districts are gaining popularity in the educational institutions of Nurlatskiy municipal district. Under the guidance of experienced teachers, pupils learn the basics of profession of foresters. One of such forest districts is created at the Timerlikovskiy school. Since January 2019, the Young Foresters club has been working here. In their free time, children are happy to study here, gain theoretical knowledge and practical experience. The circle is led by Lyudmila Kashkarova, she educates schoolchildren in a careful attitude to nature, and forms the skills for proper environmental management.
The school forest district has a lot of activities during a school year. The children take an active part in tree planting campaigns, installation of nameplates, repair of birdhouses, construction of bird feeders, etc. They also find time to participate in various competitions of the regional and republican scale. And they were awarded the title of the best school forest district in the district rally competition, which took place in the summer.
The guys get acquainted with the basics of forest science, go out and watch how the forest is planted and cut down. The children study the life of the forest, see it with their own eyes. A large number of events are held directly in the forest, so the guys spend a lot of time in the fresh air, distracting from modern gadgets.
In total, there are 6 basic school forest districts in the district: 5 rural and 1 in the town. And from the beginning of this school year, forestry units began their activities in this direction in 22 more schools.
