Today, the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov met with relatives of the Honored Forester of the TASSR and the RSFSR Vasily Isaykin. The meeting was attended by First Deputy Minister Ilgizar Zaripov, Administrative Officer Elmira Shagayeva, Director of the Forestry Museum Ilgiz Zaripov, Director of the State Budgetary Institution “State Archive of the Republic of Tatarstan” Ildar Shafikov and his Deputy for Acquisition and Search and Reference Systems Guzel Ildarkhanova-Balchikly.
Opening the meeting, the Head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov noted that the Ministry was working on preparations for the celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. So, archival materials are being collected for the Museum of Forestry, the first commemorative planting, squares and alleys in municipal districts have been laid for the 100th Anniversary of the TASSR Foundation, etc. “Vasily Ivanovich Isaykin certainly occupies an important place in the history of the industry and the Ministry of Forestry of the TASSR - emphasized Ravil Kuzyurov. - He made a great contribution to the development of reforestation and protective afforestation, increasing the productivity of forests, introducing new scientific developments and technologies into forestry practice.”
Relatives of Vasily Ivanovich - Senior Lecturer of Department of Philosophy in KNITU-KAI named after A.N. Tupoleva Irina Isaykina and Legal Adviser of OOO Kasymovsky Dairy Daniil Isaykin - thanked the Minister for warm and cordial welcome. They shared their memories of Vasily Ivanovich.
Further, the meeting participants discussed the transfer of archival materials and documents related to Vasily Isaykin to the Forestry Museum and the State Archives of the Republic of Tatarstan.
For reference. Isaykin Vasily Ivanovich (1922-2011) was born in Pesochnaya Losevka village of Krasnoslobodsky district of the Mordovian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic. He began his career in 1941 as a Forestry Technician at the Mustaevsky forestry enterprise in the Chkalov region. In the period from 1942 to 1947 he served in the army, participated in the Great Patriotic War. After the army, until 1951 he worked as a Forester in the Shaigovsky forest district of the Mordovian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, in 1952 he moved to Kazan and was appointed First Chief Forester of the Tatar Forestry Directorate, and after - Deputy Minister - Chief Forester of the Ministry of Forestry of the TASSR (1962-1986).
He was awarded with the Order of the Red Star and World War II degree, medals “For Courage”, “For Combat Merit”, “For Victory over Germany”, “For the Defense of Stalingrad”, “For the Liberation of Prague”, “30 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War”, “60 years of the Armed forces of the USSR”, “For courage in a fire”, “Veteran of labor”, etc.
In 1968, Vasily Isaykin was awarded the honorary title “Honored Forestry Officer of the TASSR”, and in 1972 – “Honored Forestry Officer of the RSFSR”.
