Ravil Kuzyurov: “We must increase the degree of openness and transparency of our activities”
Today, the Ministry held a meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was attended by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov, his deputies Ilgizar Zaripov, Rais Gumerov, the Chairman of the Public Council Ilgiz Zaripov, representatives of the Public Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan, Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College and others.
The meeting was opened and the work schedule was announced by the Head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov. Elvira Ziyatdinova, Leading Consultant of the Public Service and Personnel Sector of the Ministry, and Deputy Ministers of the RT Ministry of Forestry Ilgizar Zaripov and Rais Gumerov made reports at the event.
Elvira Ziyatdinova acquainted the meeting participants with the results of work in the field of anti-corruption policy for 2019. She recalled that the work in the field of combating corruption in the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan was carried out in accordance with the state program “Implementation of Anti-Corruption Policy of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2015-2022”.
During the year, work was carried out to receive and verify the accuracy and completeness of information on income, expenses, property and property obligations submitted by state civil servants, as well as their spouse and minor children, to place draft regulatory legal acts for independent anti-corruption expert examinations, an online public opinion poll on the state of corruption in the Ministry, etc.
First Deputy Minister Ilgizar Zaripov spoke about the implementation of the regional project “Forest Conservation in the Republic of Tatarstan” as part of the national project “Ecology” in 2019. So, according to the project, this year reforestation and afforestation works were performed on the area of 2,471 ha, 13.6 tons of seeds of the main forest-forming species were harvested and 33.2 million units of standard planting material were grown.
“Thus, the first target indicator of the regional project - “The ratio of reforestation and afforestation to the area of felled and lost forest stands”- amounted to 66% (106% of the plan), said Ilgizar Zaripov. - The second indicator is called “Damage from forest fires”. Thanks to the coordinated work of specialists of the Ministry, its subordinate institutions, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of the Republic of Tatarstan, executive authorities of the districts, as well as fire safety measures, Tatarstan managed to avoid emergency situations during the fire hazardous seasons from 2011 to 2019. The indicator was 0 rubles”.
Deputy Minister Rais Gumerov dwelled on the results of execution of the state task to carry out a range of works on forest protection, conservation and reproduction in the republic, its financial support, etc. In particular, he noted the insufficient amount of funds allocated from the federal budget to carry out all necessary measures. “The lack of funding is covered by extrabudgetary funds received by state budgetary institutions from the sale of wood from thinning, the provision of services and the production of consumer goods”, the Deputy Minister said.
Then a discussion and exchange of views on forest management materials, features of forest cultivation, forest protection and forestry operations took place.
Minister Ravil Kuzyurov summed up the meeting. He emphasized the need to increase the degree of openness and transparency of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan. “This is important both for strengthening the trust of citizens and ensuring the sustainable functioning of our system, said Ravil Kuzyurov. - We should post more information on the official portal of the Ministry, various references, reports and other materials”.
