In 2019, foresters of the republic managed to reduce the area of dead forest plantations and pest areas
In 2019, forestry specialists of the Republic of Tatarstan managed to reduce the area of dead forest plantations and pest areas by 31.8 thousand hectares. This was made possible thanks to a series of forestry operations and sanitary-improving measures. So, last year sanitary and recreational activities were carried out on the area of more than 6 thousand ha and work on forest pathological examination - on the area of more than 45 thousand ha.
Let us recall that the forest pathological examination is carried out in order to determine the current sanitary and forest pathological state of forests, and sanitary and health measures are aimed at maintaining the biological stability of the stands, preventing the widespread development of pathological processes in the forest, and reducing damage from pests and diseases.
