Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation - Head of the Federal Forestry Agency Sergey Anoprienko is visiting Tatarstan on January 14

Tomorrow, on January 14, the Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation, the Head of the Federal Forestry Agency Sergey Anoprienko, will pay a working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan.

Within the framework of the working trip, a meeting with the President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov is planned. The parties will discuss cooperation in the efficient use of forest resources and modernization of the industry.

Also, Sergey Anoprienko will take part in an expanded meeting of the final board of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan “On results of work of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan in 2019 and tasks for 2020” and get acquainted with the work of the Forest Selection and Seed Center of the Republic of Tatarstan in Leskhoz settlement of Sabinskiy municipal district.

An expanded meeting of the final panel with the participation of RT President Rustam Minnikhanov will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan (Kazan, Baumana str., 20). The keynote addresses will be delivered by the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksandr Shadrikov and the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov.

A visit to the Forest selection and seed center of the Republic of Tatarstan is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. (Sabinskiy district, Leskhoz settlement, Sadovaya str., 5).

For reference. The Forest Selection and Seed Center of the Republic of Tatarstan was commissioned in 2012. This complex is Europe’s largest automated nursery, where planting material with a closed root system is grown. The production capacity of the center is 12 million seedlings with closed root system per year. FSSC of RT covers an area of ​​11.3 hectares, including 4 greenhouses, 13 growing fields, a cooling and storage case for seedlings, 2 warehouses, etc. The center is equipped with modern equipment from the Swedish company BCC AB.

In 2019, FSSC of RT grew12 million units of planting material with closed root system, where 6.7 million pcs of ordinary pine seedlings (including 202.5 thousand pcs with improved hereditary properties), 2 million pcs of European spruce seedlings, 1.5 million pcs - hanging birch, 1.3 million pcs - Siberian larch, 0.5 million pcs - acacia.
