Today, the Ministry held a videoconference meeting on preparations for the fire hazard season in the forests in 2020. It was conducted by the First Deputy Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilgizar Zaripov. The event was attended by administrative officer, heads and specialists of departments of the Ministry, head-foresters of forest districts and directors of forestry enterprises of the republic.
Opening the meeting, First Deputy Minister Ilgizar Zaripov emphasized that protection of forests from fires is one of the priority areas of work of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and its subordinate institutions. “The increased fire hazard in the forests is created by the presence of a network of roads and railways, high-voltage power lines, gas processing enterprises and gas and oil pipelines, bases and recreation camps, and mass visits of people to forests, he said. - A particularly high danger arises in the suburban areas of Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Elabuga, Zelenodolsk, Almetyevsk, Bugulma, Nizhnekamsk and other large cities of the republic”.
According to him, an important component of forest fire prevention activities is forest fire propaganda. “In January and February of this year, gatherings of citizens of rural settlements will be held in municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan. According to the Ministry’s work plan, a representative of the forest industry should make a report on issues of ensuring fire safety in forests at each of these meetings”, Ilgizar Zaripov recalled.
Also, as part of the videoconference, the implementation of instructions given at the meeting “On results of the work of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and subordinate institutions in 2019 and tasks for 2020”, as well as plans for development of the school forestry movement of the Republic of Tatarstan and organizing visits to the Forestry Museum were discussed.
At the end of the meeting, Ilgizar Zaripov outlined a number of tasks for issuing warnings about the inadmissibility of violating fire safety requirements for owners and users of land adjacent to the forest fund and distributing information leaflets on fire topics.
