Employees of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Kamskiy Forest District” are working to increase the number of school forest districts
Two new school forestry units will be created in the premises of the Usalinskaya Secondary School and the Nizhnesunskaya Secondary School of the Mamadyshskiy municipal district of the Republic of Tatarstan. “Agreements on organization of school forest districts and joint work on environmental education and upbringing of pupils have been concluded with these educational institutions, and composition of participants in associations has been determined. Now the organizational process is underway, namely, the development of regulations on school forest districts, selection of their names and symbols”, said Albert Shamilov, Head-Forester of the Kamskiy forest district.
According to him, at present, the Kamskiy forest district supervises the activities of four school forest districts - Bersut of Pristan-Bersutskaya School of Mamadyshskiy district, Khraniteli lesa of the Luchovskaya Secondary School of the Chistopolskiy district, Lesovichok of the Shumbutskaya Secondary School and Yunyi lesnichiy of Urakhchinskaya School of Rybno-Slobodskiy district.
“We are actively working with pupils of school forest districts, we conduct lectures, lessons, round tables, master classes, various contests and environmental campaigns for them, added Albert Shamilov. - In January, for example, they held round tables on topic “Let's Save the Forest Beauty”. Also, the members of the Lesovichok association, their parents and the local forester of Shumbutskiy district forestry Rifkat Ismagilov took part in the zonal stage of the Republican competition of parental committees “Secrets of a friendly class”.
