Today, pupils of the “Ecos” school forest district of Lubyanskaya secondary school in Kukmorskiy district visited the Forestry Museum. The Director of the museum, Ilgiz Zaripov, told the pupils about the history and current state of the industry.
“Ecos” school forest district is one of the oldest in the republic, it was formed in 1968. This is a voluntary association, pupils are included there at own will. But there are always a lot of willing people, because there is a forester in every family. Children know and love the forest, said the Director of the Lubyanskaya secondary school Flyura Rafikova. - Pupils participate in planting forest crops, collecting cones, medicinal herbs, make birdhouses, bird feeders, produce wall newspapers, teaching materials. For the second year, a nursery has been operating in the premises of the school, where we take the first steps towards the development of the profession. Of course, students and teachers of the Lubyanskiy Forestry Engineering College and employees of the Lubyanskiy forest district help us in all”.
Over the past 40 years, the Head of the “Ecos” school forest district is a geography teacher Fauzia Farkhullina. “I would like to add that our school is essentially a center of environmental education and upbringing of the younger generation. Every year we hold conferences in which even representatives of other countries participate. In 2019, for example, we had a guest from India”, said Fauzia Farkhullina.
“I really like being part of school forestry, something new and interesting always happens. We participate in various environmental campaigns and competitions, last year I was at the III Meeting of school forest districts of the Republic of Tatarstan,” said Adel Leontyev, an 8th grade pupil. A visit to this museum will remain one of the vivid impressions of the beginning of this year, I saw many interesting exhibits”.
