Forestry specialists interact with municipal administrations on issues of forests conservation, protection and reproduction
Forestry specialists interact with the administrations of the municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan on issues of forests conservation, protection and reproduction. So, the Head-Forester of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Bolgarskiy Forest District” Dmitry Zarifullin made a report at the meeting with participation of the Deputy Head of the Spasskiy municipal district Sergey Tyunev, heads of institutions, organizations and enterprises of the district.
During his speech, Dmitry Zarifullin spoke about the results of the work of the forestry in 2019 and the tasks for the current year. In particular, he said that last year in the territory of the Bolgarskiy forest district, reforestation works were carried out on the area of 43 hectares, forest crops were supplemented on the area of 70 hectares, and agrotechnical care of crops was performed on the area of 246 hectares. 257 thousand pieces of standard planting material were grown, including 169 thousand pieces of conifers.
“One of the priorities of the institution is protection of forests from fires. As part of the set of measures last year, 7 km of new fire-resistant mineralized strips were created and existing barriers with a total length of 27 km were maintained. Along with this, recreational facilities on the territory of the forest fund were repaired and 4 new nameplates on fire-prevention topics were installed, the Head-Forester said. - For prevention and elimination of forest fires, there is a forest fire station based on the Bolgarskiy forestry enterprise equipped with modern fire-fighting machinery and equipment. The equipment is in good condition”.
Dmitry Zarifullin also informed the meeting participants about fire safety rules in forests, planned environmental campaigns, dwelled on the issues of interaction between forestry and the municipal administration in the field of forest conservation, protection and reproduction.
