Employees of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Prigorodnyi Forest District” conduct raids as part of the “Lesovoz” operation
Employees of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Prigorodnyi Forest District” conduct raids as part of the operational and preventive measures “Lesovoz”. The purpose of the operation is the prevention and suppression of illegal logging, transportation and processing of wood in the republic.
“To date, 22 joint raids together with employees of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been carried out by state forest inspectors of Prigorodnyi forest district, and more than 60 vehicles loaded with timber have been inspected. No violations have been detected”, said the Head-Forester Ilnur Kashafeyev.
Let us recall that transportation of wood without an accompanying document drawn up in the manner prescribed by forest legislation entails the imposition of an administrative fine on officials in the amount of from 30 to 50 thousand rubles with confiscation of wood and (or) vehicles that are an instrument of an administrative offense, or without it; for legal entities - from 500 to 700 thousand rubles with or without confiscation of wood and (or) vehicles, which are an instrument of committing an administrative offense.
