Head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov paid a working visit to the Spasskiy district of the republic
Today in the morning, the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov made a working trip to the Spasskiy municipal district. There he held a meeting on results of work of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Bolgarskiy Forest District” and the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Bolgarskiy Forestry Enterprise” in 2019 and the tasks for 2020.
The meeting was held in the Bolgar town in the district administration. It was attended by the Head of the municipal district Fargat Mukhametov.
The main report at the event was made by the Head-Forester of the SPI of RT “Bolgarskiy Forest District” Dmitry Zarifullin. “Today, the total land area of the forest fund of the forest district is 18.8 thousand hectares, 17.9 thousand hectares of which, or 95%, are forested area. Forests for their intended purpose are divided into protective forests - 16.8 thousand hectares and production forests - 2 thousand hectares, - said Dmitry Zarifullin. - According to the state assignment, last year reforestation works on the area of 43 hectares, agrotechnical care of forest crops — on 246 hectares and additions — on 70 hectares were completed”.
For works in 2020, 389 kg of seeds of the main forest-forming species were harvested and 234 thousand pieces of standard planting material were grown.
“One of the priority areas of our activity is the protection of forests from fires. As part of the set of measures last year, 7 km of new fire-resistant mineralized strips were created and existing barriers with a total length of 27 km were maintained. Along with this, recreational areas on the territory of the forest fund were repaired and 4 new nameplates on fire topics were installed”, the Head-Forester added.
Dmitry Zarifullin also spoke about the sanitary-improving, control and supervisory measures and environmental campaigns.
Further, reports were made by the Director of the SBI of RT “Bolgarskiy Forestry Enterprise” Khaidar Khabibullin and Deputy Head-Forester, Chairman of the Primary Trade Union Organization Evgeny Mulinov.
The meeting was concluded by the Head of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov. He thanked the staff of subordinate institutions for their diligent work and dedication. “In 2020, I ask you to intensify efforts to identify and prevent violations of forest legislation and pay special attention to the preparation for the fire hazard season in forests and monitoring compliance with fire safety requirements by citizens, individual entrepreneurs and legal entities”, said Ravil Kuzyurov.
In addition, the Minister dwelled on issues of accounting and assessment of the state of protective forest stands, updating the equipment fleet and raising the salaries of forestry specialists.
At the end of the meeting, an awarding of distinguished forestry workers took place. The awards were presented by Minister Ravil Kuzyurov and the Head of the municipal district, Fargat Mukhametov. In particular, the commemorative badge “100 Years of Formation of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic” was awarded to Svetlana Demina, a forestry veteran.
