The Head of the Forestry Department of the Bukhara region of the Republic of Uzbekistan Uktam Razzokov got acquainted with the work of the laboratory of RT Forest Selection and Seed Center
Today, the Head of the Forestry Department of the Bukhara region of the Republic of Uzbekistan Uktam Razzokov visited the Sabinskiy municipal district. There he got acquainted with the work of the laboratory of microclonal vegetative propagation of the Forest Selection and Seed Center of the Republic of Tatarstan. During the inspection, he was accompanied by the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov, the Head of the municipal district Rais Minnikhanov, the Head-Forester of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Sabinskiy Forest District” Vasil Gizzatullin and others.
The main activity of the laboratory of microclonal vegetative propagation is the development of methods for producing healthy high-quality planting material for woody, ornamental and berry plants in vitro. Among the advantages of this method are the reduction in duration of the breeding process, acceleration of transition of plants from the juvenile to the reproductive phase of development, creation of opportunities for work during the year, and saving of space required for growing planting material.
During the meeting, its participants discussed issues of in vitro production of tree clones suitable for growing conditions in the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Let us recall that the delegation of the Bukhara region of the Republic of Uzbekistan, headed by Hokim Uktam Barnoyev, arrived in Tatarstan on a working visit yesterday, on February 23. Today in the morning, President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with Uktam Barnoev. The meeting took place in the Kazan Kremlin.
