A delegation of the Dresden University of Technology (Federal Republic of Germany) headed by Professor Jürgen Prech is on a working visit to the Republic of Tatarstan. Within its framework, university employees visited the Alekseyevskiy and Nurlatskiy municipal districts today, where they assessed the condition of aspen plantations on the territory of the republic's forest fund. During the visit, the delegation was accompanied by the Head of the Forest Reproduction and Afforestation Department of the Ministry Timur Galiyev and Acting Director of the VNIILM East European Forest Experimental Branch Fedor Ilyin.
In the Alekseyevskiy district, representatives of the delegation inspected aspen stands in block 79 of Baganinskiy precinct forestry of Bilyarskiy forest district. Head-Forester Ramil Nurullin and the Director of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Bilyarskiy Forestry Enterprise” Aleksandr Ruzanov gave explanations.
In the Nurlatskiy district, plantations in the 83, 84 and 92 quarters of the Vishnevo-Polyanskiy precinct forestry of the Nurlatskiy forest district were examined. The Head-Forester, Rustem Galeyev, said that the total area of aspen stands in the forest district was 32.2 thousand hectares. According to the results of the inspection, university staff took aspen saw cuts of varying degrees of affection for research work.
Let us recall that earlier the Minister of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan Ravil Kuzyurov met with the delegation. During the meeting, issues of implementation of the research project of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and the Dresden University of Technology “Development of the Concept of Sustainable Forestry in Aspen Stands and Their Use in the Republic of Tatarstan “ASTAT” were discussed.
Tomorrow, on March 5, university representatives will familiarize themselves with the work of the Forest Selection and Seed Center of the Republic of Tatarstan.
