Employees of Prigorodnyi Forest District and Prigorodnyi Forestry Enterprise are preparing for the upcoming forestry season
The State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Prigorodnyi Forest District” and the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Training and Experimental Prigorodnyi Forestry Enterprise” are in full swing preparing for the 2020 forest season. Currently, employees of institutions are engaged in repair of forestry machinery and equipment.
This year, within the framework of the regional project “Forests Conservation in the Republic of Tatarstan” of the national project “Ecology”, forest restoration and afforestation activities will be carried out on the area of 25 hectares on the territory of the forest fund of Prigorodnyi forest district. In addition, measures will be taken for agricultural care and supplementation of forest crops on the area of 126.6 hectares and sowing seeds in a forest nursery - on 21.6 hectares.
“To carry out the work, 110 kg of seeds of the main forest-forming species were procured and 1.4 million pieces of standard planting material were grown, said Aleksei Aleksandrov, Director of the forestry enterprise. - This amount is sufficient for successful implementation of a regional project”.
