The Branch of the Federal Budgetary Institution “Roslesozashchita” - “Forest Protection Center of the Republic of Tatarstan” continues work on checking batches of seeds of forest plants as part of the state task “State Monitoring of Forest Reproduction” in 2020.

So, since the beginning of the year, 22 batches of freshly harvested seeds of common pine and European spruce with a total weight of 265.5 kg and 15 batches of seeds stored, with a total weight of 232 kg, were examined at the institution. In the course of work, 72% of freshly harvested seeds turned out to be of the 1st quality class, 2% - of the 2nd quality class, 26% - of the 3rd class. Due to the fact that the seeds of the 3rd class quality are not subject to long-term storage, the branch gave recommendations on their sowing in the first place.

Also, over this period, the institution employees conducted seed inspections for their laying in the reserve stock and issued 2 certificates of accreditation of a sampler from batches of forest plant seeds.
