Forest nurseries of the republic perform works on the “snow blackening”
Currently, the forest nurseries of the Republic of Tatarstan are working on “snow blackening” - scattering of ash on the areas of sowing branches in order to accelerate the descent of snow cover and preserve water in the soil.
So, employees of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Tetyushskiy Forestry Enterprise” carried out such work in the territory of the nursery of Tetyushskiy district forestry. In total, more than 320 kg of ash were introduced on the area of 1 ha, 7 people were involved.
Specialists of SBI of RT “Aksubayevskiy Forestry Enterprise” performed such work in the nurseries of Ibraikinskiy and Cheboksarskiy precinct forest districts.
It is worth noting that this procedure also reduces the risk of infection of planting material with various diseases, as well as the risk of spring sunburn: “snow blackening” helps to reduce the reflection of sunlight.
