More than 812 thousand seedlings have been planted as part of the International campaign “Garden of Remembrance”
Within the framework of the International campaign “Garden of Remembrance”, 812.7 thousand seedlings were planted. Planting trees took place in the Crimea, Astrakhan, Belgorod, Rostov regions, Stavropol Territory, Dagestan, Ingushetia, Karachay-Cherkessia, Tajikistan, Nepal, etc.
Let us recall that the international campaign “Garden of Remembrance” started on March 18 and will last until June 22 of this year. Its organizers are the All-Russian Public Movement “Victory Volunteers” and the Victory Commemoration Fund with support of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation and the Federal Forestry Agency.
During the campaign, 27 million trees will be planted in Russia and the CIS countries in memory of 27 million dead during the Great Patriotic War.
To take part in the campaign, you need to go to the official website: садпамяти2020.рф, select the region and click on the nearest planting point. There you can find the date, time of planting and contact details. Also on the site there is an opportunity to register, tell who you are dedicating your tree to in order to receive an electronic certificate that will remind your family of this event.
It should be noted that the campaign in the Republic of Tatarstan will be held in late April of this year. It is planned to plant 381.9 thousand seedlings in memory of the great feat of 381.9 thousand Tatarstan people who did not return home from the front to their relatives and friends.
