A set of measures on fire-fighting arrangement of forests will be taken in Tatarstan in the second quarter of 2020
In the second quarter of 2020, a set of measures will be taken for fire-fighting arrangement of forests in the Republic of Tatarstan. Activities will be carried out in accordance with the state task to carry out the forests conservation, protection and reproduction in the Republic of Tatarstan.
So, this year 2,395 km of new fire-resistant mineralized strips will be created and maintenance of the existing mineralized strips with a total length of 4,807 km will be carried out. As well as the work on construction of roads of fire-purpose length of 111 km and reconstruction of 426,5 km will be carried out. In addition, it is planned to improve the recreation areas of citizens in forests and install information stands, nameplates and billboards on fire topics.
“Protecting forests from fires is one of the most important areas of our activity. The fire hazard season in the forests will be open next month. As in previous years we will do our best to pass through this period without emergencies”, said Almaz Faizrakhmanov, Leading Consultant of the Forestry Conservation and Protection Sector of the Ministry.
