Veterans of the forest industry of the Republic of Tatarstan: Tikhomirova Faina Pavlovna
The column “Veterans of the forest industry” continues as part of celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic Foundation. Today, its heroine is Tikhomirova Faina Pavlovna, who worked for more than 45 years in the Agryzskiy timber industry enterprise.
Faina Tikhomirova was born on February 1, 1933. After graduating from the Volga Forestry Engineering Institute in 1956, she began her career as an Assistant Forester in Sharshadinskiy forest district. In 1957 she was appointed to the position of Forestry Engineer, in 1963 - Senior Engineer of the Forestry Department of Agryzskiy timber industry enterprise. Faina Tikhomirova made a great contribution to the development of the forestry of the republic, participated in implementation of progressive methods of forestry, including gradual and selective cutting.
Currently, a veteran of the forest industry lives in the Agryz town, surrounded by relatives and friends.
For selfless work and dedication, Faina Tikhomirova was awarded the signs “For Conservation and Enrichment of the Forest Treasures of the RSFSR”, “XXX Years of Service in the State Forest Guard of the USSR”, was awarded the honorary title “Honored Forester of the Republic of Tatarstan”, etc.
