In 2020, protective forest plantations will be created on the area of 1.9 thousand hectares in Tatarstan

In 2020, protective forest plantations will be created on the area of ​​1,895 hectares in Tatarstan. Including, gully-ravine-beam – 1,856 hectares, field-protecting forest stands - 39 hectares. The work will be carried out as part of the subprogram “Forests Reproduction” of the program “Development of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2014-2024”.

Also this year it is planned to carry out selective sanitary felling in the previously created protective forest stands on the area of ​​84 hectares.

It is expected that the forestry season in the Republic of Tatarstan will be launched on April 10 this year.

For reference. Today, the total area of ​​all protective forest plantations in the republic is 145 thousand hectares. Over the past 10 years, such stands have been created on the area of ​​21.2 thousand hectares, including for 5 years - 10.7 thousand ha.
