Deputy Minister Rais Gumerov inspected the readiness of the Privolzhskiy forestry enterprise for the 2020 forest and fire hazard seasons
Today, RT Deputy Minister of Forestry Rais Gumerov paid a working visit to the Verkhneuslonskiy municipal district. There he inspected the readiness of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Privolzhskiy Forestry Enterprise” for the 2020 forest and fire hazardous seasons.
In particular, Rais Gumerov examined the base forest nursery of the forestry enterprise and got acquainted with the progress of work on construction of fire-resistant mineralized strips. Explanations were given by the Head-Forester of the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Privolzhskiy Forest District” Rustem Ismagilov and the Director of the forestry enterprise Faril Galiakhmetov.
Rustem Ismagilov said that currently, 30 thousand units of standard planting material have been dug in the nursery; it is planned to open forestry season next week. “We also began to implement a set of measures for the fire arrangement of forests. Today, 5 km of new fire-resistant mineralized strips have been created and maintenance of the existing barriers with a total length of 30 km has been carried out”, he added.
Let us recall that despite the self-isolation regime introduced in the Republic of Tatarstan, in accordance with paragraph 4 of Presidential Decree No. 239 dated April 02, 2020 “On measures to ensure the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population in the Russian Federation in connection with the spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID -19)” part of the staff of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and its subordinate institutions continues to work on implementation of federal state forest supervision (forest protection), preparation for the 2020 forest cultural season and ensuring fire safety in forests.
