Fire-fighting arrangement of forests is in full swing on the territory of the Tetyushskiy forest district
Work on fire-fighting arrangement of forests is underway on the territory of the Tetyushskiy forest district. “Currently, 5 km of new fire mineralized strips have been created and the existing mineralized strips with a total length of 30 km have been maintained. Also, work is underway to improve recreation areas for citizens staying in the forests and to reconstruct information stands, nameplates and billboards on fire-related topics”, said Rais Khalitov, Director of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Tetyushskiy Forestry Enterprise”.
State forest inspectors the State Public Institution of the Republic of Tatarstan “Tetyushskiy Forest District” are patrolling the lands of the forest fund of forest district, as well as campaigning among the population to comply with fire safety rules in forests. “The greatest risk of forest fires is usually in April-May. We will do our best to, as in previous years, pass the fire hazard season in the forests without emergency”, added Rais Khalitov.
Let us recall that despite the self-isolation regime introduced in the Republic of Tatarstan, in accordance with paragraph 4 of Presidential Decree No. 239 dated April 02, 2020 “On measures to ensure the sanitary and epidemiological well-being of the population in the Russian Federation in connection with the spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID -19)” part of the staff of the Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Tatarstan and its subordinate institutions continues to work on implementation of federal state forest supervision (forest protection), preparation for the 2020 forest cultural season and ensuring fire safety in the forests.
